Therefore this picture demonstrates the love I have for my child...Let me set the scene for you. I had just gotten Jett out of the car and sat him on the ground just outside the car so I could reach across the seat to grab a case of Diet Coke. Just as the soda was emerging from the car the box ripped and the plumetted downward toward Jett's head so I did what any mother would have done and stuck my knee out to protect his head from harm. The outcome is this sweet bruise which appeared immediately with a large lump. I sported it for about a week. Every time I saw it or felt pain I was reminded of the sacrifice I give for my child each day and the sacrifice I will continue to give him throughout his life.

The Sacrifice of a Mother
For some reason sacrifice came up in conversation at work the other day and a guy I work with said, "Isn't it funny how all your selfishness goes out the window when you become a parent?" And I agreed that at a drop of a hat or in the blink of an eye I would do anything for Jett that I might not do for anyone else. Only him.

Therefore this picture demonstrates the love I have for my child...Let me set the scene for you. I think that the solution to avoid getting another giant bruise is to give up the diet coke. What good comes from diet coke? Not flavor, not health, just bruises. Just kidding. I love Ezra too and would do anything for him! Even let him have surgery. :(
Hey Dana! I can totally relate. They really are precious! Your little guy is too cute. I hope that you guys are doing great!
Nice shiner...or something like that.
