The New Assistant

I am bragging on myslef a little today mostly because I am so excited for the experience. Yesterday I interviewed for the 09' and 10' Online Editor position at DSC. I did not get the editor position but I did get the assitant-editor position and I am totally stoked. Mostly because I wasn't going to put in for the job because I have zero experience in the field but journalism is what I am going to school for and any experience I can get is good. My writing for mass audiences professor talked me into applying for the position and here I am. After the interview I did not feel so good about at it because I got asked a strange question that I had no idea how to answer so I filled the time with meaningless babble and at the end of the jibberish the professor said, "Uhh..ok..." I new right then that I had not done so good but I guess I did do as bad as I had thought. Because I got a spot on the paper instead of totally getting marked off. I do get some tuition $ for doing the job but this is the first year to have an assitant online editor that they do not know how much but the editor gets full tuition so I can guess the $ will not be too dissappointing. It will be a lot of work, but I am looking forward to the experience.
