In the first week of January 08 we made the 14 hour trip to Northern Cali to visit the Weston and Amee Albrecht family. We did not drive, of course, because that would have been crazy. We first drove to Vegas, got on a plane to Reno, then drove 2 1/2 to 3 hours to their house in Alturas, CA. It was really cold and we found out that California roads department do not know how to maintain the roads for snow and freezing conditions....so for the most part we just stayed indoors. We played videogames and puzzles with the kids and played boardgames and watched movies with the adults. Amee even taught Brandon how to enjoy playing a "boring boardgame". We shot skeet from the backyard and popcans from the back porch. We had such a blast spending time with the Albrechts. We have missed them so much this past year since they moved, and we can't wait to see them again...real soon!
